Visiting the Historical Center
As you have looked at the resources available here at the PCA Historical
Center, you may be considering a visit to the Center in order to take
a closer look at particular documents.. We welcome your visit. For the
most effective use of your time, do please call ahead and let us know
of your planned visit. This allows us to better understand your research
needs, to have materials ready when you arrive, and to answer any questions
that you may have about your visit to the Historical Center. You may also
find it helpful to prepare for your visit by reading the brochure Researching
the Archive: An Introduction to Its Resources.
Directions:
The PCA Historical Center is located in the city of St. Louis, Missouri,
on the campus of Covenant
Theological Seminary. The campus is located
adjacent to the point where Highways 40 and 270 intersect. Take the Ballas
exit off of I-40 and proceed north on Ballas a short distance. Moving
to the turn lane at the intersection of Ballas and Conway, make a left
turn onto Conway and proceed west under the I-270 overpass. Traveling
another 300 yards on Conway will bring you to the main entrance of the
Seminary campus. From there, follow the campus signs to the Buswell Library,
where the Historical Center is located. After parking your car, proceed
to the lower level of the Library and you will find the Center just off
of the lower lobby.
Accomodations:
You will find a number of hotels in the immediate area
and we will be happy to provide specific information about these on request.
In addition, there are a number of rooms available in Edwards Hall on
the Seminary campus, at a very nominal rate.
Hours of Operation:
The Historical Center is open Monday through Friday, from
9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. (CST).
You are urged to allow plenty of time for your visit to the Center and
it is best to arrive early in the day, if at all possible.
The Historical Center is closed on weekends and all major holidays. However,
researchers may make special arrangements for Saturday or weekday evening
visits by calling at least two weeks in advance of the requested appointment
time.
